JONIMAY
Terry and Lily Hannan

The affix is a combination of the middle names, John and May.

The first dog was back in 1965. Terry was working away, therefore it was decided to purchase a shepherd to give Lily and the house some security. Terry and Lily went along to an open show, West Yorks Open Show at Brighouse and liked a Cherusker grandson, Bonanza of Glenpaul. His owner helped to find a young male who was purchased and shown. His name was Baron of Fitzwilliam, Fitzwilliam being Lily's home village.

Favourite dogs in the UK, Rosehurst Chris, the brothers Moonwinds Golden Emir and Mahdi for Lily. For Terry, Bedwins Pirol as an older dog and Chris for his sheer glamour and presence.

Bitches Jacnel Nacale and Gayvilles Xera for Lily. Xera, Nacale and Kelnik Anika, all super bitches. For foreign dogs and bitches for Lily, Laios V Noort, Eros V Hambachtal (as a young dog), Argus V Aducht and of course Uran for his progeny. Ronda V Haus Beck and Vanta v d Wienerau.

Terry likes Kimon and Odin in Stance. Full marks to Kimon for effort in 1994. Fanto v Hirschel and Jeck Noricum as a younger dog.

On a more personal note, in 1983, Zasko V Monchberg first made VA, Terry and Lily were sat with his breeder, the booze flowed and made this Sieger one to remember.

A personal thought from Terry, which I believe is very true.

In all sports everyone has a trainer or coach. In tennis, golf, football, etc, etc So how come the young handlers of today don't need advice? A true view and obviously one that should be considered. Eric Gerrard, John Stokes and Edwin White are all before my time, but if you aspire to handle the best dogs you should learn your trade from the people with the experience.

Perhaps a thought for today
