LINDANVALE
Danny & Linda Wilson

My very first encounter with a GSD was as a young boy of 8 years. Our local councillor who lived nearby owned a large Black and Gold (Alsation). I was fascinated by him and had visions of owning such a dog as I grew older. I never thought it would lead me to owning one of the largest and most successful kennels in the country. When Linda and I got married in 1968 we acquired our very first shepherd from the rescue, a good dog who was very courageous. Unfortunately he only lived a few years. Our next shepherd 'Max' was a very good looking Black and Gold semi-long coat. He was very calm, confident and protective and proved an ideal companion to the family as they were growing up. In the mid I 970s we built and established a large boarding kennel. This is when our obsession with the breed really started. Our affix LINDANVALE was derived from both our names and the kennel we owned.

Despite all the years of early mornings, long journeys, freezing venues and all the back biting, don't ask me why, but we still enjoy the show scene.
